- Living Life -

Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say "thank you", "I love you", and "great job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental - search for your purpose and do it as best as you can. Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free. Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself - plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment.

.:: Anniversary StayCation 8.15 - 16::.

Jake & I made it! Phew! One year down and many more to come! And let me tell you it was not easy! We've had our fair share of ups and downs more downs then ups but hey we made it! We're alive and well! And because of everything we've been through we appreciate eachother more and more each day! I know Im not the easiest person to live with but he has been nothing but patient, loving, supportive, and understanding. He is so good to me and as horrible as it is I sometimes take it for granted! I seriously could not ask for anyone better! Im definitly one lucky girl! I love you jakey wakey! And thanks for puttin up with me and my bipolar disorder time and time again!

I've been dyin to go river rafting for sometime now so Jake surprised with a trip to Moab for the weekend for our one year anniversary! We hiked, rafted, consumed more food then we ever should, and best of all just spent time together, just the two of us! Major thanks to Jakes fam for takin care of our kids!

And we are off to Moab! But of course had to stop at costco on the way!

Jake and I hiked to the delicate arch! It was beautiful!

RiverRafting-

We are ready to embark on our latest adventure! Rafting in Moab! This is our first attempt and most definitly not our last!!!

I was surprised to find the majority of the tourists from out of the country! The people shown here were from Paris!! Moab of all places? Don't get me wrong I think Moab was great but if I was able to travel anywhere in the US Moab would've never crossed my mind! But whatever they were fun!

Look at him working those oars! Ha ha! I love it!

Me on the other hand needed some assistance!

We got to ride the rapids! Even tho I felt like I drank gallons and gallons of water, not by choice, it was a ton of fun! A little nerve-wrecking but soo fun!

.:: Melting Pot 8.14 ::.

Jake & I seriously can't get enough of this place! If you've never been your definitly missing out! The food, the atmosphere, and just the whole fondue experience is to die for! This time around Jake made reservations a week ahead and we still somehow arrived late!! The bananas foster was ridiculously delectable!

Chocolate fontini...not my cup of tea if you ask me!! Sounded good but so wasn't!

We are both a bit iffy on the whole cooking your meat part so we cook it a little longer then usual! Better safe then sorry!

.:: 08 . 08 . 08 ::.

Jake & I were married one year ago. (We made it! hahaha!) Since we had so much planned this weekend we decided to celebrate our anniversary the following weekend.

We started the morning out at the Kids festival at Wheeler Farm!

We are mean parents, Talon freaked out!

Jake & I planned on goin to the Melting Pot for dinner, but so did everyone else so unfortunately we didn't eat there! We called at 6:30 to make a reservation and we were told the next available time was 9:30! Ridiculous, but understandable! So the next best thing was Johnny Carinos! It was a trip down memory lane! Jake and I are big fans of this place! We actually prefer it over Olive Garden! I was a hostess there when we first met! He would always come and eat there with his friends and family on a regular basis! O the fond memories!

The usual chicken milano and tilapia sandwhich and chips! My favorite!!

After we took the kids back to the fair since it was the last night! To be honest with you I was kind of all faired out! Shocker I know!!
But Talon sure enjoys it!

Jake had the day off so we decided to go to the fair! Besides the fact it was 80 degrees outside it was actually really fun! They had all sorts of animals there from your normal farm animals to sugar gliders and even kangaroos!!

It may appear as though Talon is not having an ounce of fun, but he actually is! He was just really nervous!

For some reason Talon was terrified of the animals at the petting zoo. He wouldn't go near this tortoise.

He was hesitant on even petting this one. Could you tell???

Talon loves the jump houses!
We ran into Sean at one of the booths! One of Jake's friends owns a BOSCH store in South Jordan and its actually pretty neat!
We had so much fun that we decided to go back to the carnival after I worked a few hours! Just FYI the parking pass is only good for one use only once you leave the grounds you'll have to pay to get another one! Lame!

Chris Cagel from 100 yards away!

We ran into my best friend from high school Michelle, her husband, and her sister-in-law. This was Nathan attempting to ride the bull. Apparently he does this on live bulls at rodeos. Something i definitely need to try in the near future.

Deep fried p b & j! Soo good!

.:: Tooele County Fair 8.01 ::.

We are fair fanatics! We absolutly LOVE fairs! NO matter how big or small the town is! This one was by far the smallest one we've ever been to. Theres nothin like spending an evening with small town people! You gotta love them!

The people here at this booth were from Green River sellling yummy fruit! Here he was teaching me the procedure of how to pick out a good watermelon. They were HILARIOUS! We walked away from there with 4 countaloupes and a watermelon for only $3! What a bargain!!
